The dog refused to cross the threshold, no matter how hard she pulled on the leash. Not again, she thought. It's already the fifth time this week that Leo didn't want to leave the house. It all started when the new neighbors across the street moved in. It's a family of four: mom, dad and two little girls. Together with the four of them, a little fluffy furball came along. Meet Lily, a grey British shorthair who looks like a very cute teddybear but apparently scares the crap out of Leo. Right after moving in, she started lying in front of the big window facing our house. She is a very lazy cat so most of the time she stays there. And ever since, Leo started acting weird. The first day, it took her 30 minutes to get him out of the house. Pulling, pushing,... and eventually she just carried him outside. As soon as they leave the street, everything turns normal. As soon as they walk back into the street, he can't get inside fast enough. Very unusual cause normally it's the opposite, she has to pull him back inside after a walk. She has no idea why Leo doesn't want to leave the house anymore but she does have a feeling that Lily may be the culprit here. Is Lily sending him messages through the secret animal language? Is it Lily's strong female aura that's keeping him inside? Or is he just a scaredy-cat (ironically right) and therefore scared to go outside with Lily watching him? But today, after a full week, he finally walked out of the front door without any problem. He didn't resist, didn't pull his leash. Nothing had changed, Lily was still lying there in front of her big window. Was she seeing things? Maybe Leo just had a bad week and Lily wasn't the problem to all of this? She thought that everything would go back to normal now. Only later did she realize that nothing had actually been resolved.
